On September 20th, a conference is being organized for the members of TakingITGlobal in Nigeria - we hope you will attend.
THEME: Transcendence of Rhetoric- Making the Difference with reference to InfoTech and The effects of HIV/AIDS to youths development.
There is so much rhetoric about global development but in actual fact there is less social action, thus leaving untouched the yawning gap between poverty and wealth; literacy and illiteracy; and growth and distortion, just to mention a few. There are numerous reasons responsible for this evil. Many youths have given up their dreams as great potentials of this nation, owing to the absence of concrete actions backed by inspiration, information and involvement of youths in decision making and sustainable development programmes. In view of the foregoing, the members of TIG Nigeria after necessary deliberation deem it necessary to take on the challenge to address some of the issues highlighted above through a historic national conference scheduled to take place on September 20th, 2003. This will be the first of its kind in Nigeria and it will attract other members from other countries during this period.
