OVERVIEW:
From May 15th -20th 2012,the Nigerian multi-stakeholders dialogue summit group will hold a five days dialogue and capacity building summit between the youths of this country and all major stakeholders in the affairs of Nigeria, including international peace building and conflict resolution experts at the International Conference Center, Abuja.

Approximately 1500 young leaders, who have a commitment to national development, peace building and conflict resolution, and others who work actively in related fields such as participatory democracy, inter religious harmony and good governance, have been selected and invited on merit in addition to leaders of major religious and socio-political organisations to participate in the dialogue destined to among other objectives unearth the root causes of ethno-religious and political crisis in Nigeria.

INTRODUCTION
The dialogue summit is a broad based national Peace, unity and reconciliation forum organised with the overall aim of fostering a non-violent, highly inclusive conversation involving all major stakeholders in the affairs of our country, Nigeria. This Summit will involve youth leaders across the country in concert with government and other leaders of interest groups in conversations bordering on highly critical socio-economic and developmental issues capable of making or marring our country. This is with a view to arriving at a national consensus on many contentious and divisive issues militating against our development as a country. Through this summit, we seek to promote:
• National understanding and cooperation,
• Sustainable peace, unity and inter-religious harmony,
• Conflict resolution and reconciliation within Nigeria
• Capacity building for youth leaders in peace building and conflict prevention and resolution.
