The purpose of this program is to provide youth with the necessary skills to build their capacities as effective leaders in development, strengthen their understanding of the development context and foster a deeper personal and collective commitment to a just society.
The program is designed for youth leaders between 20-35 years of age with at least two years (preferably 5 years) of experience in community-based development and a demonstrated commitment to youth issues. A good working knowledge of English is required. While eligible candidates do not require a university degree, a post-secondary education is considered an asset.
Partial bursaries for tuition are available through the Institute. Candidates are fully responsible for covering the remainder of the cost tuition and room and board, other fees, their travel and living expenses.
