Brief Presentation of the Youth for Human Rights Initiative
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the European Convention on Human Rights, the Danish Institute for Human Rights in cooperation with the Danish Youth Council invited a young man and woman from each European country to participate in the creation of a youth plan of action for Human Rights and Democracy in Europe. The Youth Conference commenced in March 2001 as an online debate on the Internet. Youth organizations in Europe were encouraged to send contributions to be considered by the participants. The online debate was concluded with a face-to-face conference in Copenhagen in November- December 2002, where the outcome of the online debate and the conference |
