Hey all you journalists, reporters, columnists, correspondents, muckrakers, photographers and cartoonists. Are you on the beat at your high school? Do you have your finger on the pulse of your generation? Have you written, photographed or drawn something you're extremely proud of? Send it to the Young People's Press 1st Annual High School Newspaper Competition. We're looking for kick-butt entries from schools, writers and artists all over Canada and the US. Show us your stuff and enter to win cash prizes, the chance of wider publication and bragging rights. Submit your work today!

Competition Guidelines

Categories:

Best Newspaper
Best Feature Story
Best Op-ed
Best Photograph
Best Editorial Cartoon
People's Choice Award - Humour

Eligibility:

Open to all high schools across North America. Entries must be from 2003/2004 editions. One entry per person per category.

Deadline:

Entries must be postmarked no later than March 31st, 2004. Electronic entries due midnight March 31st, 2004.

Winners will be announced May 15th, 2004 and contacted via phone. Winning entries will be posted on the YPP website.

All entries become the property of Young People's Press (YPP) and all copyrights are assigned to Young People's Press. YPP retains the non-exclusive rights to publish all such works in any format.
