The YES Mexico 2004 will be held in, Boca del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico, from October 4 - 7, 2004.
YES Mexico 2004 will be the YES Campaign's first Milestone Event, bringing together diverse stakeholders from youth organizations, governments and NGO's as well as leaders in academia.
It will be hosted by the government of Mexico. Strategies will be reviewed within the context of the YES Framework for Action; successful programs, policies, and projects will be highlighted and shared among Summit delegates. YES Mexico 2004 will be an important milestone for evaluating global progress on youth employment.
A "State of YES Campaign Report 2004" will be released assessing the impact of the Campaign.
Other highlights of the Summit will include:
Reports from the YES conference of Ministers. These reports will highlight successful policies and programs that have been launched by their respective governments since the Alexandria Summit.
Presentations by the YES Country Networks (YCN's) on their achievements since the over the first two years of the YES Campaign since The YES 2002 Alexandria Summit.
The setting of an agenda for the next two years of the campaign.
The launching of a Global Fund for youth employment. |
