Leadership, Effectiveness, Accountability and Professionalism (LEAP) Africa is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to inspire, empower and equip a new cadre of Africa leaders. Given our conviction that young people can serve as change leaders in their communities, LEAP offers youth leadership programmes across Nigeria. Over a two-year period, this programme equips young people with the skills, tools and support that they require to serve as effective leaders.
This particular institute targets youth between the ages of 15 and 25 who serve as community mobilizers, artists, rights activists, environmentalists, health practitioners, peace builders, women entrepreneurs, volunteers for civic initiatives and individuals who have demonstrated a strong interest in developing leadership skills and serving others.
Participants are required to attend a three-day leadership institute and at least five -subsequent skills-based training programmes, held every other month. They are so expected to become part of the LEAP Africa Youth Network and provide regular updates to LEAP on their performance.
Interested participants are expected to apply by completing an application form online by visiting our website at www.leapafrica.org, or downloading it.
It is important to recognize that LEAP will further screen these applications and select a sub-group of participants to enroll in the programme. Successful candidates will be notified via email by May 14 2004. |
