KALAYAAN 2004 is an NCJP annual program as part of the group's commitment to inspire, inform and involve young journalists in the country. It is a program especially designed to tailorfit its active participation in the commemoration of the Philippine Independence this year.
Kalayaan 2004 is more of a virtual project that uses state-of-the-art technology, the internet and the writeups produced by campus journalists related to the celebration. It encourages young writers to join the e-group discussions and make write ups of their own on how they see "independence" important. Other thoughts about this theme is also welcomed. Selected articles will be posted in the Internet, the Manila Bulletin, the Manila TIMES and the Phiippine Daily INQUIRER.
The Network of Campus Journalists of the Philippines has gone beyond servicing the campus journalists. And needless to say, Kalayaan 2004 is one of the manifestations of it. |
