In order to achieve our mission and objectives, a unique gathering of 2,000 outstanding youth will meet in Nairobi to initiate a network and framework for future peace collaborations. Nairobi will be the launching pad of innovative ideas, action plans and generate positive energy for world peace. The summit will revolve around four elements, networking, educating, empowering and acknowledging. These four elements can be symbolically represented as the four essential elements that comprise the world: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. Delegates that attend the summit will be the fifth element, binding the four elements so they work in mutual harmony and peace.
Air is the carrier of sounds and expression, allowing for understanding and appreciation.
Breathing the network for Peace:
- Understanding other cultures and making friends
- Understanding WYPS and other organizations
- Distributing a database of resources to assist in network building and funding
- Organization, Association and Cultural Fair
- Concert
Earth is our foundation and provides stability for growth.
Grounding and Education Youth:
- Leadership Training Programmes: introducing resources and skills needed to address global challenges
- Spiritual growth and meditation sessions
- Peace forums
- Thematic educational sessions
- Peaceful negotiations and conflict-resolution training
Fire provides warmth and energy, sparking innovative ideas and hence positive change. Fire is volatile, but can be managed through wisdom, foresight and patience.
Igniting Inspiration and Empowerment:
-Creating structures and committees for post-summit follow-up
- Creating and publishing Action Plans and Peace Treaties
- Presenting existing Action Plans
- Success stories fair and Awards
- Interaction with prominent political, spiritual and other leaders for a rich exchange and integration of ideas and perspectives
Water nourishes life and encourages growth. Without it, life expires. It needs to be conserved and allocated evenly.
Respecting the Valuable Resource:
- Acknowledging our sponsors, hosts and organizers
- Strategic partner presentations and announcements
The Fifth Element is spirit and symbolizes freedom and oneness in mind, body and community. Be the fifth element, which unites the other four elements in the name of peace.
