Pioneers of Change invites you to South Africa, a land in the infancy of its rebirth - a new world that is alive with possibility.
"Let's put our stake in the ground.
This is what it means to be a pioneer.
This is what we are working for.
Let's get explicit about the maps that have been guiding us as pioneers.
How may we become better guides into these new territories?
How can we shift the system?"
Summer School is the annual and global Pioneers of Change meeting. It is a space within which Pioneers, new and old, gather around common purpose and principles to lift our level of understanding of the world we live in. Through this we improve our actions and explore how to be the change we wish to see.
Each of us brings experience and questions from our own lives and work, in order to teach and learn. It is a gathering within which you are asked to bring your fullest self, experimenting with new ideas; arriving in the spirit of action, learning and collaboration. It balances individual and community purpose. |

Pioneers of Change
Having launched the network in Mexico in January 1999, we currently number approximately 1500 in 70 countries. Three pioneers work full time as part of a Cultivation Unit [the coordinating team], based in Johannesburg, South Africa and Boston in the USA.
