| Around 150 youth representatives from all over the world will come together to discuss how youth organizations and the world bank could best work together for poverty eradication and promoting development at all levels: advocacy, knowledge and operations. The youth participants will express their views to mr. James d. Wolfensohn, president of the world bank. The conference is organized in partnership with the european youth forum and the world organization of the scout movement. It will focus on how to empower young people and enhance youth participation for peace and development. The discussions will build on the consultation process initiated by the world bank with young people during the first youth, development & peace conference in paris on september 15-16, 2003. |
