National Youth Essay Competition
What I Would Like to Tell the World About Russia
Deadline: September 27, 2004
If you are young, enthusiastic and passionate about your country as well as global issues, send us your creative work that presents your ideas and views on the topic of essay competition! You are invited to write about different aspects of life in russia: economical, social, cultural, political or environmental. The essay may describe your own life, your successes and challenges you have overcome. You can write about your friends, communities, as well as about your city and region. The winning essays should be inspiring as well as informative, and they should make the topic accessible to a wide audience.
Submission details:
1. Russian citizen
2. Under the age of 30 by October 1, 2004
3. Registered at Takingitglobal website (registration at www. takingitglobal. org is free)
4. Length of essay: approximately 500 words (2 typewritten pages) in english or russian. Your entry can be accompanied by relevant images.
5. Include your name, age, contact information, telephone number, email address
(if available).
The winners will receive scanners, tig prize packs and certificates of recognition from takingitglobal! the prizes will be divided between winners in two age groups (14-20) and (21-30). Your essays will be posted online at our Russia country site (http://russia. takingitglobal. org). Over 50000 of young people around the world will be able to read your essay! winners will be announced in october 2004.
