The deplorable condition of the Nigerian society is evident to all and no doubt a source of concern to virtually every citizen of this great country. The lingering nature of the problem which has persisted and even deteriorated for over 3 decades is now the factor behind the lackadaisical attitude of Nigerians today who have hence adopted the ‘chop while you can’ slogan to all sectors of our society, thus leading to more depreciation in social values and moral standards. While everyone indeed complains of our present plight, very little is being done to make things right, with the excuse that things have gone too far to amend. Thus, again, “if you can’t beat them, join them”.
The best that have so far been done is to merely assume a pathetic waiting position; hoping and wishing that someday, something would happen that will turn the Nigerian tide. More than enough contemporary instances have however evidenced that such a trend ends nowhere or worse still, a bloody war that leaves a trail of devastation, famine, pestilence and unending misery behind. This should not be anticipated for a country that is almost a quarter of the entire continent. Thus, a clarion call for martyrs who are willing to divest themselves of personal gain for the sake of bringing about a new Nigeria that will once more be the pride of not only Africa but also the entire black race.
Whenever Sovereign Wisdom wishes to act in the midst of humanity, ideas, concepts & visions are dropped into the hearts of men as seeds, to be conceived in the womb of inspiration; borne through deep meditation and right counsel and birthed in the spirit of faith, against all odds and contrary conditions. Thus a divine dream has engulfed our hearts to see righteousness instituted in high and low places as against corruption which has become entrenched deeply into every aspect of the Nigeria society; social justice in the place of domination, oppression and exploitation; and self-reliance in the place of mass unemployment – all in the bid to restoring our dignity and pride as a nation.
We therefore invite you to this seminar, where we will take steps in the direction of a New Nigeria.
