the TAFL Center(teaching arabic as a foreign language) in the faculty of Arts was founded in 1985. It is related to one of the oldest and most acredited universities in the arab world which is Alexandria University.the teaching of arabic in that center is not just a language course, as it gives the student the opportunity to live in Alexandria among the people who are almost one third of the arab population that is the egyptian people. the center makes sure to engage the student in the egyptian society by giving extra credit in the arabic egyptian accent, field studies and companions of egyptian students who help in practicing the language with native speakers.
the teaching staff are university proffesors who are very well equipped and traind to teach arabic for foreiners and they teach under supervision of the faculty and the chairman of the board of the center is the dean of the faculty himself.
the legal and governmental requierments for accomodation and staying in Egypt during the course are arranged by the center. for the accomodation place, the center has a list of trusted places and persons that can be recommended for the student in suitable prices.
this course is to be intencive as 16 hours per week teaching will be provided.all levels are available (beginner,intermediate and advanced)

Colloquial Egyptian 5hours
calligraphy 1hour
News Paper reading 1hour
Writing Skills 1hour
TV.& Video 1hour
