| Service programs of the 2005 Global Youth Service Day Taiwan are to be designed and operated in such ways that youth are encouraged to initiate their own service programs, featuring cooperation with local communities and schools, for the purpose of changing and improving quality of life at the community level. GYSD emphasizes the importance of laying a strong foundation for youth volunteer services at the community level. Our goal for the 2005 Global Youth Service Day is to have service programs concurrently implemented in all the 400 basic administrative districts across Taiwan, creating at least one new youth volunteer team established for each district, with each new team being registered under a regional youth volunteer center. |
