To the Youths of APEC member countries and the World!
We would like to draw your attention to APEC Youth Plaza 2005, which will be hosted in the Republic of Korea.
The purpose of this Plaza is to contribute toward the progress for a peaceful future world by providing youths, catalysts for the next generation, with the opportunity to recognize their diversity in the meetings and dialogues that they will have with each other. This Plaza is organized under the sponsorship of the Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Preparatory Committee for APEC 2005.
Period: 17th (Wednesday) ~ 25th (Thursday) August, 2005

Participation Criteria
The APEC Youth Plaza is open to 10 delegates from each of the 21 member countries of APEC and the other countries as observer status. All participants must satisfy the following criteria:
-Be proficient in English and able to do presentations in English
-Be persons between the ages of 18 and 30, and who are interested in international relations.
Official Language: English shall be used as the official language
Participation Fee and Other Expenses: There is no participation fee for the program.
Airfare Sponsorship: The Organizing Committee may cover the round trip or one way airfare within a budget allocation for those participants from developing APEC member countries.
Application: All interested applicants should submit the application and the essay no later than Friday, June 3 at apecyouth@gmail.com
Documents to be submitted: Written application form (3x4 Cm size photo has to be adhered), 1 copy of an English essay on the session topic between 700-1,000 words. (Selected essays will be included in the official book of the APEC Youth Plaza.)
Participant Confirmation: The selected participants will be informed on the official website on 13th of June, 2005.
