The International Youth Parliament (IYP) was one of the major partners for IYPS 2001. One of the outcomes from IYP is the convening of an African Youth Parliament (AYP2002).
An initiative of the IYP, the AYP is a growing network of young African peace builders, activists and leaders. Its goal is to harness their energies to build a peaceful, equitable and sustainable Africa. The first sitting will be in Nairobi, Kenya.
IYPF would like to encourage all those in Africa to apply to attend this event. IYPF will also be discussing with IYP and AYP re organizing an IYPF African Regional Summit around the AYP.
