From September 1-2, 2005, one hundred and fifty young leaders from across Nigeria will gather in the beautiful city of Port Harcourt - Nigeria’s Garden City for the Nigerian Youth Leadership under the auspices of Development Partnership International, Center for Development Support Initiatives and Lifetime Caring Ministries.

The purpose of the Summit is to reflect on, review and evolve concrete action plans in the implementation of the MDGs and NEPAD as enshrined in the National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS) - which is predicated on value reorientation, poverty eradication, wealth creation and employment generation. The Summit programme will focus on five key themes: Health, Employment/ youth entrepreneurship, Environmental sustainability, Information and Communication Technology for Development and Educational for all.
