The NCCJ-NJ 2005 Walk As One-Rock As One is the inaugural collegiate spin-off to the NCCJ-NJ Walk As One, held annually each May.
Local bands will perform at the Walk, as the event will take place in New Jersey's own House of Rock: the Asbury Park Convention Hall; banners and artwork submitted to the Art for Diversity Competition will be displayed around the Convention Hall; and more.
The Walk benefits NCCJ's Youth Leadership Institute, which offers a variety of experiences that educate and empower youth to create more just and inclusive communities. Walk proceeds benefit programs such as 'Anytown, NJ,' 'Manytown, NJ,' 'Unitown,' and 'Campus Leaders.'
NCCJ (The National Conference for Community and Justice) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to overcoming bias, bigotry, and racism in the U.S. by promoting understanding and respect among all races, religions, and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution, and education. NCCJ-NJ (The National Conference for Community and Justice-New Jersey Region) has served residents, corporations, interfaith leaders, educators, communities, and youth across the state for more than fifty-five years. |
