INTRODUCTION
Adolescent Development Network-Adnet, in collaboration with UNESCO Club announces its special training workshop on the management and rehabilitation of HIV/Aids patients.

PARTICIPANTS: NGO managers, Medical and Health students, civil society Organizations, Church workers, Teachers, HIV./ Aids Counsellors and health workers.

The workshop shall focus on the problems of sexuality, stigma, counselling and management of the health of patients.

AIM OF WORKSHOP: To generate ideas that will fit into government’s HIV/Aids policy and to empower PLWHA with necessary skills for self support.

DATE: 9-10 November, 2005

ARRIVAL TIME: 8 November, 2005 by 2 pm for those outside Port Harcourt

SUSTAINABILITY: At the end of the workshop, Adnet intends to have sustainable development support for HIV/ Aids patients through:

a. Technical support (construction of a resource centre, provision of computers, free drugs etc)
b. Financial support for the resource centre
c. Manpower Resource Development.

WHAT TO ACHIEVE:
(1) To properly integrate PLWHA into the Nigeria society without any stigma
(2) To Empower them with skills for selfsupport.
(3) To have a Resource centre where skills can be acquired.
