Name of the Open Forum: Open forum on ICTs in Nikolaev

Specific issues that the Open Forum will focus on:
We would like to focus on the digital opportunities for young people in Internet and discuss the influence /manipulation/ of mass media on young people and society in general. We also like to promote WSIS and inspire young people to write an essay and win the competition (“The Role of Youth in the Development of Information Society in Ukraine”

Rationale for holding this Open Forum:
We think it is necessary to make a discussion because young people in the regions as a rule do not have an access to the true source of information or have lack information at all and disregard to the Internet opportunities.

Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding
this Open Forum for youth in the community:
We hope to give young people more information on where when how they can search for the opportunities in the Internet and who gives them such opportunities. We would like to give young people a chance to analyze the situation with Ukrainian mass media and ways mass media manipulate people's conscious. After the Forum we would really like young people to make their own decisions what mass media to chose and how to distinguish true and false information.
