TUNZA North East Asia Youth Environment Network (TUNZA-NEAYEN) is a youth network set up in January 2005 with consultation and support from the UNEP Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific as a part of the UNEP’s global youth strategy.
It aims and functions at sub-regional level to mobilize youth and youth organizations in the countries such as China, Japan, South Korea and Mongolia for environmental protection activities under the principle of sustainable development, in collaboration with the other sub-regional youth networks in Asia Pacific Region.
50 youth (each 10 youth from China, Japan, Mongolia and 20 youth from Korea) attended this conference.
The objectives of this conference were to:
a) promote environmental awareness amongst youth in the Northeast Asia
b) select representative participants for Tunza International Youth Conference 2005
c) prepare regional agendas for Tunza International Youth Conference 2005 |
