Challenging the HIV Today is second of its kind after the first workshop held in 2003. In 2003, the participation was limited to organizations based in Cameroon. This year, organization working in the domain is welcome from other countries as well as researchers and others.
Challenging the HIV today (I) is a five days workshop that would reunite youth and youth organizations working in the domain of HIV/AIDS prevention. Participants will throughout the workshop seek innovative ways of mobilizing youths and their communities to adopt better and risk free lifestyles and seek the means to equip them with the capacities of taking informed decisions about their sexual lives.
The workshop would center on CRVM (Community Based Risk and Vulnerability Mapping), Life Skills, and presentations of best practices. All of these methodologies are designed to highlight the need of mobilizing available community resources for the fight against HIV/AIDS.
This year, there would be local and international participation. We say welcome to our foreign brothers and sisters.
