The Parihaka International Peace Festival is an offering of peace. It is a chance to exchange wisdom, skills and understandings. In the spirit of the sharing as demostrated by our visionary leaders.

Parihaka has always been the clarion call to peace for all peoples. Peace is the highest human aspiration. Beneath the protective mantle of maunga Taranaki, you and your family are invited to participate. As well as being entertained, you are offered the chance to sing, to dance, to share stories, to partake of traditional healing, to create art.

The Parihaka International Peace Festival is our opportunity to celebrate the greatness of the visionary leaders Te Whiti and Tohu, and the openness of the people of Parihaka to advocate non-violent action to the world during a time of deep turmoil and tragedy.
