Youth Empowered is an exciting one-day event for youth. It is about more than just statistics on the world's problems. It is about equipping and empowering high school youth across Canada to take action on these issues in unique and dynamic ways. Workshops on global issues, as well as on specific leadership skills are offered, and the day ends with a session of forming action plans that youth can use in their school or community. These plans are shared with the group in a fun way ("Leadership Idol" - though we're all heroes!) and youth leave ready for action. Note: Each school can bring a group of up to five students and one teacher. Please contact us if you would like to bring a larger group. |
