This conference will unite students with researchers and clinicians in exchanging information about the current efforts in the field of neglected disease research, and what further steps can be taken to promote such research. During the course of the weekend, presentations by speakers involved in international health will help paint a picture of what the global community is doing today to fight malaria, tuberculosis, leishmaniasis and other neglected diseases, and what remains to be done. Panel discussions, workshops and other events will foster debate and discussion of issues ranging from ethical and legal aspects to the use of low-tech strategies in the fight against neglected diseases.
