This event is for young people aged 17-30yrs who have an interest in the issues of democracy, citizenship and identity – particularly for minority groups. Participant places are strictly limited and a selection process will give priority to applicants who have a demonstrated interest and commitment to the themes of the event and who will act as effective multipliers of learning, as well as to applicants who have not had the opportunity to participate in similar events previously. So please distribute this information widely, particularly to young people who have not travelled overseas previously.
Travel subsidies exist for participants from a number of South Pacific countries however the funding we have received from NZAID for this purpose cannot cover participants from French Polynesia including Kanaky/New Caledonia, Tahiti, Australia or territories of the USA including Hawai’i and Guam. Applications from these places are still encouraged but ineligible for subsidies from the event organisers and should request a separate Application Form for this purpose from the organisers.
Deadline for applications is 24 February so please spread the word.
