As part of her annual United Nation Youth Developmental programmes in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
NIGERIA YOUTH SYNERGY (NYS) is proposing a one-day discovery journey into the hinterland of ILIE in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State.
Why Ilie?
Because of her terrestrial and aquatic geographical locality that calls for tourism and cultural exchange to broaden the knowledge of the participating Youth.
Discovery Journey is a proposed journey into the hinterland of the Economic and Social Challenged Rural Areas. The Discovery Journey is to see what the Rural Dwellers are seeing, likewise knowing, feeling and understanding their way of livings. The joy of the world youth week ought to be share with the economic and social less privileged youths across the world.
Overview review of life of Youths in the area is a very close match with the problems encountered by youths in rural settlements across the world. The concerns and problems of young people in Ilie are the same as those faced by young people all over the world living in Economic and Social Challenged rural settlements.
Frankly, these are young people needed to be empowered at all cost so as to attain the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
