in celebrating GLOBAL YOUTH SERVICE DAY 2006, Youth Development and Voluntary work is arranging three activities:
21st of April: planting Olive Trees close tho the Aperthied Wall, as a kind of protest against the existence of this Wall, which separates the palestinian areas 11,680 inhabitants of 16 villages are isolated between the Apartheid Wall and the Green Line…
102,320 olive trees have been uprooted for the footprint of the first phase of the Apartheid Wall
Many of the trees are protected under international cultural heritage laws, as they are hundreds of years old
Palestinian villages are being suffocated not only by the Wall but by the theft of lands for the expansion of settlements
So at youth global day we will plant olive trees close to the Apartheid wall. we encourage internationals to participate at this activity.
At 22nd of April 2006; we will have a cleaning day at Nativity church and the old city.
and finally at 23rd of April 2006 we will have an exibition for youth innovation at Nativity church Squar
