Cos'è

In September 2006, the World Spirit Youth Council announces it’s first ever regional initiative in Nepal, “Deepening Our Spirituality – Turning Inspiration into Action”. You, as a spiritual and passionate youth leader, are invited to join us in this inspiring gathering.

Our meeting’s intent is to delve deeper into the work of the World Spirit Youth Council. The meeting will focus on deepening our spirituality, exploring aspects of consciousness through different religions, faiths and ways of life and discovering how spiritual values, through daily action, can transform our world into a more harmonious place. The conference will also honor the United Nations’ International Day of Peace on September 21st, 2006.

At the “Deepening Our Spirituality” meeting youth will join forces with the current work that the World Spirit Youth Council is undertaking. Youth will also have the opportunity of formulating strategies to take inspiration into action.

Nepal has been selected as a country that holds spirituality in extraordinary high esteem and is a center for many of the world’s religions and yet, at the same time is a hotbed for potential warring difficulties. Our hope is during this meeting, a seed will be sown to bridge this paradox.

Spiritual Elders will share their viewing points of how to go beyond the religious perspectives into the heart of our spiritual nature. With these elders, we will also visit many sacred sites of Nepal. As part of the WSYC wave, this initiative will “light a spark” with Nepalese youth and act as a hub to link to other places in the world where similar efforts will be emerging.
