In Hungary, in connection with GYSD the Foundation for Democratic Youth (www.i-dia.org) organises the KÖZÖD! National Youth Volunteers’ Day.
In the programme, youngsters and elder generations (parents, teachers) take action for their local community, local township.
Particular activities:
- tree and flower potting
- selective waste collection
- the retouch of the township
- visitation in different fosters home and art festivals
Over 120 individual activities have been registered by local youth volunteer groups and organizations, in cooperation with schools, local governments, and NGOs. These activities are expected to include over 8000 people. To date, there have been over 115 media appearances. More information (in Hungarian) is available on www.kozod.hu. |
