DetailsAbout
Name of the Open Forum: The Liberia Talk

Specific issues that the Open Forum will focus on:
1. Is it time for refugees to return? a. Is the Liberian economy doing well enough b. Is the political climate good enough? c. Can our economy thrive without us?

2.What should the UN be doing for refugees who can not return? A. Is integration into the Ghanaian society the way to go? b.Should the UN work to resettle more Liberians?

Rationale for holding this Open Forum:
It has been a year since the Liberian people elected a Government. The UNHCR thinks the level of stability and progress is good enough for every Liberian Refugee living in my community to return home.

I think it's necessary for the people's side of the story to heard. If they disagree I think its important to know why?

Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding this Open Forum for youth in the community:
I hope to educate the youth about their status - to teach them what the options are for them at this time.

Language in which the Open Forum will be held: English'
