Specific issues that the Open Forum will focus on:
Открытый Форум будет посвящен следующим проблемам:
- Становление информационного общества и роль молодежи в этом процессе.
- Всемирная встреча на высшем уровне по вопросам информационного общества и связанные с ней молодежные инициативы.
- Информационное неравенство и возможные пути его уменьшения в России.
- Использование информационных и коммуникационных технологий в молодежных проектах.

The Open Forum will focus on the following topics:
- Information Society development and the role of youth in this process.
- World Summit on Information Society and related initiatives.
- Informational divide and possible ways to irradicate it in Russia.
- Youth entrepreneurship and the ways ICTs may impower young people.

Rationale for holding this Open Forum:
Молодым людям г. Тамбова доступны различные возможности для получения высшего и профессионального образования; тем не менее, роль инфокоммуникационных технологий в обучении и повседневной жизни молодых людей часто недооценивается. Мы приглашаем студентов тамбовских вузов и ссузов принять участие в открытой дискуссии о том, какой вклад может внести в их личностное и профессиональное становление использование современных технологий, с какими проблемами они сталкиваются в этой связи и как их можно разрешить.

This OF will be held as a part of the WSIS National Youth Campaign in Russia and will attract university students of various backgrounds. Youth in Tambov have a choice of taking a variety of educational opportunities, however, the use of ICTs in most schools seems to be underestimated in its possible impact on higher and professional education, as well as youth initiatives. Tambov youth are invited to participate in an open discussion on how ICTs can impact their social and professional lives and what issues they face in their access to modern technology.

Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding
this Open Forum for youth in the community:
Этот Открытый Форум является частью Национальной молодежной кампании "Информационное общество в России", которую TakingITGlobal реализовывает в рамках подготовительного процесса ко второй фазе Всемирной встречи на международном уровне по вопросам информационного общества (ВВУИО) в Тунисе. Мы надеемся на то, что Форум позволит его участникам открыто высказать свои мнения о том, как государство и сами молодые люди могут облечить доступ к инфокоммуникационным технологиям и поставить их на службу себе и сообществам, в которых они живут. Мнения, высказанные в ходе Форума, будут включены в доклад, который TakingITGlobal составит по итогам проводимых национальных молодежных кампаний по вопросам информационного общества и представит делегациям из более чем 170 стран на ВВУИО в Тунисе в ноябре 2005 г.

One of the main goals of this Open Forum is to provide Tambov youth an opportunity to question the role of ICTs in their lives and brainstorm on how they could contribute to widely adopting new technologies to serve their growing needs and what needs to be done by policy makers to make ICTs more accessible for young people. The opinions expressed will be recorded and will become a part of the TakingITGlobal's report on WSIS National Youth Campaigns it is running this fall and will be presented to the broad audience at WSIS in Tunis.
