Name of the Open Forum: Youth Service
Specific issues that the Open Forum will focus on:
Youth volunteering for the purpose of highway clean up of the Chalous Rd., which is highly traveled. It is also a very beautiful and fragile ecosystem.
Rationale for holding this Open Forum:
Iranian rural youth are drawn to the cities even with no real employment or education opportunities in sight. By opening a discussion with this population about the benefits of being involved within the community in a positive way; learning about the ecosystem, and its connection to our health and well-being, we can provide opportunities for engagement.
Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding this Open Forum for youth in the community:
Reaching the young people of our region, educating and mobilizing them for action related to care for the environment.
