Name of the Open Forum: Conflict Resolution in Northern Uganda
Specific issues that the Open Forum will focus on:
Post-war reconstruction and rehabilitation
This issue will be preceded by a short welcome/prayer message from the guest speaker and followed by views from the youth, conclusions and the way forward.
Rationale for holding this Open Forum:
The rebellion has led to a state of lawlessness in my community and widened poverty amidst my people.
Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding this Open Forum for youth in the community:
Reduction in the number of those who would like to join the rebels and promote the current peace initiative being carried by Betty Bigombe. Betty Bigombe was once Member of Parliament for the Gulu municipality and once Minister of state for the Northern Uganda reconstruction programme.
Language in which the Open Forum will be held: English
