Millennium Youth Resolution Forum: Notice of Postponement.
This is to inform you, with due humility that the date for Millennium Youth Resolution Forum is hereby shifted.
In a marathon meeting held by the programme Local Organising Committee, after the just concluded 2007 International Youth Week Celebration ; together with all the stakeholders involved (within and outside Nigeria), they came up with the following five points communiqué, highlighted below:
(1) The programme (MYRF) duration would not be sufficient to handle issues targeted to be addressed in just one day; considering in addition; the participants’ expectation (which must be adequately addressed).
(ii)The entire stakeholders involved; in planning, coordinating and other logistic requested for additional time, for proper result – oriented planning to carter for all issues.
(iii) That some of the Global Youth issues at the 2007 International Youth Week Celebration should be included in the Forum specific agenda.
(iv)That the participants from within and outside Nigeria should be given more time to source for sponsor and adequately prepare for the programme.
(v)That Millennium Youth Resolution Forum would now hold between 24th – 25th October, 2007; and no longer 24th August, 2007, as earlier scheduled.
Regrettably; the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) hereby seek for your mutual understanding over this development. You are highly valued!
New Date: 24th – 25th October, 2007.
