Name of the Open Forum: Youth Participation in Jordan

Specific issues that the Open Forum will focus on:
TIG is running a series of Open Forums in the Middle East & North Africa region on the theme of "Youth Participation". Through them, TIG aims to learn how young people are participating in various countries and/or contexts in the region. The Open Forums seek to give youth in the region the opportunity to exchange experiences on the topic as well as discuss the opportunities available to them. It also seeks to show how TIG can help boost participation for youth at the local, national, and international levels.

The proposed agenda for the Open Forum is:
- Introductions to each other and topic
- Divide into smaller groups
- Presentations to entire group
- Questions, comments, further discussions

Keywords: youth, ICTs, education, NGOs, civil society, employment, volunteerism, participation, Jordan, Middle East

Note: The Open Forum will be taking place in English and Arabic.

TIG is running the Open Forum in Jordan in partnership with the Jordan National Forum for Youth & Culture (www.jordanyouth.org) and is sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Goals the organizer hopes to achieve by holding this Open Forum for youth in the community:
- understand the context that youth in Jordan are participating in

- provide concrete solutions to future participation
