The World Urban Forum is just wrapping up today and the journey has been amazing. Young people were an active sector within the Forum and the YAT played a crucial role in bringing US youth to the Forum. In the closing ceremony, a Canadian youth named Mia read a well crafted summary of the youth participants recommendations. Next steps for the YAT are developing in the direction of a national youth council for the US and many other directions of North South Partnership and Sustainable Enterprise. I will post the Youth Decleration asap.

The TIG Team arrived here in beautiful Vancouver on Friday with 15 bags full of exhibits, materials, and assorted fun. On Saturday Jarra and Franziska led workshops at the World Urban Youth Forum, and Jen, Sarah, and I spent most of the day setting up the World Urban Cafe (youth pavillion space) in the Exhibit Hall! The World Urban Forum opens tomorrow with a video welcome from Kofi Annan and a keynote from Stephen Harper.
