We are very excited to have you participate in the World Youth Congress Conference . Congratulations on
making this important commitment to the world and to your future! To start sa off i have been thinking that taking it global should be able to help you as much as we can to make this trip possible; however, ultimately, you need to believe
in yourself and work hard to be able to get a large portion of your trip paid for. So let’s get
started!
This package includes:
- This short letter that you are reading, which explains some important rules about
fundraising.
- Fundraising Plan Start-up Sheet and worksheets
- Fundraising Help – Tips, Ideas, and Facts
- Ideas for fundraising events
It is very important that you note that by accepting this package, you agree to be an
ethical fundraiser. When businesses, family members, organizations, schools, and other parties
give you money to support the trip, they expect that the money they donate will be going towards
the specific trip that you ask them to support. This means that money you accept can be used for
trip-related expenses; for example: your travel to and from the departure destination, for your
shots, spending money for the trip, medical and travel insurance, for your payments to the conference secretyariat and accounts, for items that you may have to buy, i.e. backpack, etc. It is not ethical to use the
donations for clothes, or a party. If any participant uses donations for personal expense, travel or
gain or misuses the name of the WYC while fundraising, they will not be allowed to come on the
trip, will lose their non-refundable deposit, and will not be permitted to attend/participate in any
other TIG conferences,events,workshops etc program.

i am concerned about the approval of our attendance.i have been listed to be attending this conference and i thought i was going to be recieving updates and new developments on the conference. i also proposed to deliver and i have not heard anything yet.
i wud want to suggest that we are given upfront information about our attendance.I am ready to help in looking for funds by sending letters but i wud like that the letter come from the secretariate acknowledging me attending the program so that i can send this to places for funding.If we dont start now it might be too late next year.

Likewise.
I have sent a number of emails asking them to confirm i sent my details and as to when i will receive the letter but i never get a response. I'm starting to think this is very disorganized and that the event will be so as well and so i will not be able to make a difference.
