Ayer recibí esta foto. Fue tomada en Rosetta, Egipto, en septiembre, durante la Cumbre del Empleo Juvenil, maravilloso evento que reunió a muchísimos jóvenes líderes de todo el mundo para discutir sobre visiones, perspectivas y alternativas para el empleo juvenil para el decenio 2002-2012. Luego de la Cumbre dos amigas (de Colombia y Panamá) y yo nos fuimos un par de horas a la famosa ciudad de Rosetta (ahí se encontró la piedra Rosetta, que permitió traducir los jeroglíficos egipcios) fue una asombrosa sorpresa constatar la diferencia entre lo que decía el libro-guía sobre la ciudad y la realidad... pero fue una linda experiencia y valió la pena la escapada...

Wow. I had a lot invested personally with YES because I spent many hours working away on a variety of features for their site, as well as the Global Knowledge Resource, which Jennifer launched at the opening ceremonies.
The conference was great; I worked a lot behind the scenes to make a lot of technological things happen, as well as working at the TIG booth to take pictures of members and to help people learn about TIG! Everyone who registered online for YES became a TIG member, so there was a lot of explaining and training to do, but it was great fun...
One of the most powerful parts of the conference for me was a side-event we had with about 30 TIG members from around the world, many of whom I had talked to online or worked with on the site before. This picture is from that meeting. Discussing the future of TIG with them and getting their thoughts on what they had experienced so far was so rewarding!

Ayer jueves llegue a Alejandria... todas las expectativas...empiezan a ser realidad. Todo marcha de maravillas... me estoy encontrando con grandes amigos y amigas... y la Cumbre pinta impresionante. Pude ver poco de la historica Alejandria, pero pude ver que tiene una hermosa costa, y la gente es digna de conocerse... sus costumbres, su idiosincracia y su cultura son llamativas... al menos para un occidental como yo... :))
Mañana es la inauguracion de la Cumbre... un gran dia esta cerca...

ESTOY SUPER CONTENTO... "la vida te da sorpresas... sorpresas te da la vida"... tengo enormes expectativas, ganas, motivaciòn... todo un sinfín de tornados de sentimientos... el motivo: me confirmaron que asistiré a la Cumbre... si...! el Youth Employment Summit!!... como integrante del Comité Argentino de la Cumbre... es un honor inmenso tener la posibilidad de estar allí... y encontrarme con tantos amigos que conozco personalmente y a los otros que conocí vía TIG por e-mail...y algo buenísimo... podré encontrarme con los y las miembros de TIG allá... eso es impresionante...
