DetailsAbout
YES is organizing a workshop at the GEF Assembly in Beijing. The objective of the YES workshop at the GEF Assembly is to generate awareness on the potential that Renewable Energy has to achieve the twin goals of creating livelihoods (by providing employment) and conserving the environment. This is a very appropriate means of creating employment in a sustainable way and involving communities in conserving the environment while generating livelihoods.

Publications on Renewable Energy will be given out at the workshop. These will include a report on employment opportunities in Renewable Energy as well as a toolkit on how to start a Renewable Energy Enterprise, and also a YES Perspective on Sustainable Development which stresses on the role that Renewable Energy plays in promoting Sustainable Development.
