The ITU TELECOM Forum is the only place in the world where so many people ranked at the highest levels in their respective companies or governments can meet each other under one roof to shape the future of the telecoms industry and to identify and explore the issues that could help to harness the tremendous potential to achieve the development of our industry in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The Forum will include a special youth forum to kick off transformation in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) sector and to empower a selected group of university-age youth to take on the reins of leadership. This Youth Forum will also enhance synergy between governments and universities or higher educational institutions for the greater benefit of the region as a whole.
The ITU has also developed a selection procedure to enable university students (1 male and 1 female) from each Asian member country to attend the Forum. Candidates must be nationals, age between 18 to 23 and must be attending national universities and higher institutes at the time of submission. Interested students fill in the nomination form and write a short essay (250-500 words) on the subject |
